Gavin Caves Orthodontics is a truly modern, state of the art practice based in the town of Haddington, East Lothian. We provide high quality orthodontic treatment to improve the smile, bite and dental health of patients of all ages.

Our ultimate aim is to ensure all our patients, from across East & West Lothian and the Borders, receive the best possible treatment and that they all smile with confidence!

Your Orthodontist

Gavin Caves qualified as a dentist in 1993 and then qualified as a Specialist Orthodontist in the year 2000. He has worked as an associate in orthodontic practices and taught orthodontic post graduate students at the Edinburgh Dental Institute.

Gavin Caves Orthodontics began in 2010 where he started to see patients in an NHS practice located in Haddington. It soon became obvious more space was required for his patients, so Gavin began the process of building a practice within the town.

In 2014 Gavin Caves Orthodontics opened at Paterson Place in a ‘purpose built’ two surgery practice. Gavin is a Specialist Orthodontist and works along side his Orthodontic Therapist Gemma. Throughout their treatment patients will be seen by either Gavin or Gemma.

Our dedicated team of Dental Nurses, Steph and Nicole, and our Practice Manager Claire, work closely with Gavin and Gemma to make sure you get the best possible results.

We provide Private and NHS treatment

We offer a comprehensive range of specialist orthodontic treatment funded privately or where appropriate by the NHS. The cost of private treatment can be spread by taking advantage of the service we offer through Medenta.
